World worst of 2007, A list

As far as years go 2007 was pretty much just like the rest for the most part. We did get see a few nice things however. Such as, Apple's iPhone, OS X 10.5, and the fact the that the year ended with 007 (you know, James Bond)
However, as everyone already has the "best of" lists for 2007 here is my list of the worst of 2007.

Worst Person: Now its not really a person so much as an organization but the RIAA can't seem to do much more then just screw over old ladies and soccer moms. The war they are fighting is just like the war on drugs, or terror for that matter. There is no end in sight.

Worst Desktop: Gateway's "One" all-in-one PC is probably on of the worst disasters I have ever seen. $1200 gets you a core 2 duo@1.5GHz, 2GBs Memory, 320GBs, and Intels X3100 Graphic Chip. Now I guess those are ok specs, but LOOK at it!! There is like 10" of plastic beneath the screen.

Worst Media Player: As much as I wanna hate on Microsoft for making the Zune. And every single person who called it the ipod killer. Im not.....ok fuck it. The Zune is a shitty mess of gross material, and horrible design. I mean it feels empty. When you pick it up it just feels cheap. Its a failure MS should have quite while they weren't so far behind and humiliated.

Worst Laptop: This really isn't the worst laptop but it is by far the ugliest. Alienware's Aurora m9700 is one ugly Mother Fucker. I also strongly dislike Toshiba's Qosmio line of laptops. They seem to be pretty thick as far as todays standards go.

Worst Decision: Americas decision to remain ignorant to the fact we are not winning the war on terror and that the war is not about providing oil for your gas guzzling SUV's. I'm sorry you actually believe that we invaded three countries and killed over 1Million people just to kill the terrorists who killed 3,000 Americans. Why did they do it you ask? well we are occupying there fucking homes! How would you like it if a bunch of North Koreans came here and started telling us what we could and couldn't do.

Install Leopard on your PC in one step!

Dailyapps.net offers a great one step guide on installing OS X 10.5 on any Intel PC. If you guys are anything like me, You have at least on older PC just sitting around doing nothing. Why not install Leopard on it and put it to good use be being a print server or something.

All you need is a blank DVD and a special ISO image and your good to go.

Wanna cash in on the mobile web craze?

SesameVault offers a pretty good video on how to make a mobile phone friendly web page. I watched it and have to say that it seems easy enough. In fact, it has inspired me to purchase txtnews.mobi. (still in development)

Looking for some live satellite Imagry?

I sometime get into this, *I wish I could watch Live satellite feeds* mode where all I wanna do is look at the High-Res Nasa images or fuck around on google Earth. But just the other day I was able to find this site Here.

Super Mario Bros. 3

Got some alot of extra time on your hands? Well, I was stumbling the web and I came across a really cool summary/comparison of two different version of SMB3. The first being from the original NES version. The second being from the SNES All stars version. When it was ported, Nintendo re-did the game. If for no other reason. Check it out for the eye candy.

Review of the FC TWIN

I have taken it upon myself to go out and get a FC Twin Video game console as a christmas present to myself. You know, the one that can play bot NES and SNES video games. I have just opened it up and hope to have the review up shortly.

then the lack of support for the SA-1Alright. After a few days of playing around with the FC Twin. I have the results. For what it is, It does a pretty good job. Other chip AKA the chip in one of the coolest games ever, Kirby's Dream Land. I am pretty impressed. I honestly didn't expect my game genie to work. Playing Super Mario Bros.3 with some of the cheats in brought back some awesome childhood memories. After my fill of SNES I went way back and played some of the best damn game ever. I speak of course of The Legend of Zelda. Over all, I really had nothing to complain about. Games played well. Other then the overall cheap feel, If you are looking to get back into the gaming action you can pick yourself up one of these from Amazon.com for around $40

Network Storage Vs. a Media Server

So, after all your hard torrenting and downloading you are now sporting quite the collection of Media. The only problem, It's all stuck in computer but you want to be able to access it from anywhere in the house right? Well here are a few options to get you started:
1. Your first choice, and the most reasonably priced one is to go with a NAS or Network Attached Storage sytem. Such as Western Digitals My Book World Edition. The Special thing about these drives are that they sport an Ethernet jack allowing for very easy sharing. Once you have obtained your NAS, simply transfer your data onto it and plug the drive directly into your home router. Now, any device connected to the router will have the ability to access the content.

2. Your next option is a little less flexible and a little bit more expensive. But, that isn't to say that it's not worth it. The Multimedia servers like this one by BTC are just starting to hit the market so prices are still a little high. The differences being these are not meant for network sharing. Its more like this. PC-to-MediaServer-to-TV. The main benefit here being, Unless you have an Ethernet equipped TV(you don't do you?) our previous option won't work out to well if you wanna get that media onto a TV or those tunes into a sound system. They offer a variety of ports and most offer PVR like services.

Well, I hope this has helped you out. Remember to check back often for more news and product reviews.
